Mr. Jerzy Wisniewski, 66, Polish, married, one son: living in Paris since 2010. Engineer of mechanics (specialization: rail transport), second faculty: MSC of transport economics.  
 
To date: member of the Board of Directors at International Union of Railways (UIC) - Director for Fundamental Values Department responsible for cooperation and supporting the UIC core activities such as railway system, passengers and freight transportation - paying special attention to the transversal issues like: sustainable development, safety, security, expertise development and research coordination. From 2018 coordinator of the Middle-East Region      (African Region coordinator between 2011-2017). Seconded to the UIC from Polish Railways where fulfilled managerial duties for heading the office for international relations.   From 2006 to 2009: nominated PKP expert on planning and operations including crisis management for railway infrastructure (PBIST - NATO), dedicated case: an advice on WestEast freight railway corridors to facilitate the nonmilitary cargo transportation to IASF.  From 1999 to 2005: worked already for the UIC being responsible for pan-European railway system integration – technical, operational, legal harmonization within Eastern and Central European Countries – close cooperation with related organizations like CER, OSJD, CIT, ECE UN, and ECMT. Transport Academy of Russia - fellowship since 1998.
