Marc Guigon is the Director of Passenger Department at UIC (International Union of Railways).
He joined UIC in June 2012 and is responsible for Passenger activities worldwide including the development of High-Speed Railways, Train Stations, Ticket Distribution, Regional and Suburban Train Services and Tourism in Trains.
Furthermore, he is the coordinator of the UIC Regions Middle East and Latin America, operating to develop the railways in the relevant countries, and is currently the chairman of the UIC Covid-19 Task Force, composed of 70 UIC members and 18 International organizations.
Before joining the UIC, he served 7 years in the office of the Prime Minister of France as the official responsible for French national transport policies regarding area planning including railways, roads, urban transport, airports, ports and waterways.
He was also in charge of the cooperation between the governments of France and China regarding the area planning.
Lastly, Guigon, who had been in charge of the management of workshops for towing-towed vehicles in France, research teams, and load departments at SNCF, has a solid background in Railway Operations.
