Could you briefly talk about your reasons for participating in Eurasia Rail 2021?
As one of the leading railway exhibitions in the world, we were quite pleased to participate in this year’s edition which is organized in Istanbul once again after it was postponed due to the global Covid-19 situation.
This year, we will share with the visitors our state-of-the-art technological solutions, including our Coradia iLint: the world`s 1st hydrogen powered train, and HESOP, our advanced reversible power substation which both supplies traction voltage to a network and recovers braking energy from vehicles. Moreover, we highlighted our Middle East & Africa Regional Centre in Turkey as an indication of the importance of Turkey to Alstom.
Who do you plan to meet at the exhibition?
Alstom has been present in Turkey since the 1950`s. Therefore, Turkey is a home for us. During the event, we will welcome our partners at our stand to discuss business opportunities and how Alstom Turkey can support them. It’s a great pleasure to welcome everyone including subject matter experts, railway professionals, and most importantly our students who are interested in our railway technologies.
What are your thoughts on Eurasia Rail and what are your expectations from the exhibition?
Eurasia Rail is a key event for us and Alstom is proud to be part of. Eurasia Rail has helped us to network with key stakeholders in the country. In addition, we are happy with the exposure we get to make connections with potential local suppliers. Indeed, we believe that Eurasia Rail 2021 will be a fruitful exhibition, especially given the difficulties that Covid-19 brought to us including organizing such events.
Why should industry professionals visit Eurasia Rail?
Eurasia Rail is bringing global rolling stock manufacturers, infrastructure technology suppliers, and rail logistics companies together in one place. This is a very important event for our industry and would like to see everyone here.
What are your evaluations, expectations and predictions about the industry, especially in Turkey and around the world for this year?
We are following the market and opportunities very closely, both for urban and mainline customers. Turkey is an important country for us, and we will continue to invest in the country.
